UNLV's Community Concert Band is open to any student or Las Vegas area resident who wishes to perform in a concert band. Formed in January of 1987, the band's 85-plus members range in age from high school to senior citizen. The group is aimed at anyone, with high school or college band playing experience, who wants to have fun and practice playing skills in a concert group setting. The band plays a wide variety of music and performs on and off-campus concerts each semester. The band is conducted by Associate Director of Bands, Anthony LaBounty
