Clint Williams has directed sweepstakes bands in Oklahoma and Arkansas for the past ten years. This fall he began working as a doctoral teaching assistant in wind conducting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Ensembles under his direction hold three Oklahoma Bandmasters Association state runner-up titles, three regional and state winterguard titles, and a WGPO state concert percussion title. Other awards include selection for performances as the Oklahoma Representative for MENC in Washington D.C. in 2008 and at the OMEA State Convention in 2010. Not only was his ensemble chosen as the Oklahoma Music Educators Association State Honor Band in 2009, his groups have also been recognized as “Grand Champions” at concert competitions in Kansas City, St. Louis, and Dallas. Clint completed his degrees from the University of Arkansas and Arkansas Tech University, and has attended Boston University for doctoral music education coursework.
